Day 3 Beijing

Highlight

The Bird’s Nest Stadium, Chinese Tea Ceremony, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Chinese Kung fu Show (Optional)

Activities

Enjoy full buffet breakfast in the hotel to start the day followed by a visit to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Sites. After, enjoy a traditional tea ceremony. A guided visit to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City where the last three dynasties of China ruled. In the evening, enjoy an optional dramatic Chinese Kung Fu show.

Day 4 Beijing

Highlight

Jade Factory, The Great Wall of China, Ju Yong Pass, Beijing Roast Duck Dinner

Activities

Begin the day with a visit to the biggest jade factory in Beijing after breakfast. Visit the Great Wall of China. Enjoy your leisure time exploring one of the great wonders of the world! A feast of Beijing Roast Duck Dinner will be arranged to celebrate the day.

Day 5 Beijing

Highlight

Visit the Capital Museum of China, school visit, Chinese Calligraphy Lessons, On-campus student activities, Traditional Acrobatic Show (Optional)

Activities

Visit the Capital Museum of China in the morning. This museum is currently the biggest museum in China and has over 90,000 objects. Later on, visit a local school and meet with Chinese students and teachers. Art teachers will give instructions on Chinese calligraphy. Student activities will also be arranged during the school visit. In the evening, enjoy an optional traditional Chinese acrobatic show.

Day 6 Beijing

Highlight

Tai Chi lesson, Pearl Farm, Rickshaw Hutong tour, Lunch in a local family

Activities

Learn traditional Tai Chi to start the day in the beautiful hotel garden to gain some Yin and Yang energy under the instruction of Tai Chi masters followed by an exciting rickshaw tour of Hutong, an important cultural element of the ancient Beijing city. As part of the tour, you will enjoy your lunch prepared by a local family. Free time for you to walk around and shop in the afternoon in Hutong.

Day 7 Beijing – Suzhou

Depart for Suzhou, Gentle Waves Pavilion, guided city bus-tour

Depart for Shanghai by scheduled domestic flight from Beijing International Airport. Upon Arrival, a chartered bus will take you to Suzhou, a beautiful garden city in southern China where you will visit the Gentle Waves Pavilion in the afternoon.

Day 8 Suzhou

Highlight

Silk Weaving Workshop, boat cruise of the Grand Canal of China

After breakfast, visit the Silk Weaving Workshop to know the history of silk and the unique silk weaving techniques. You will enjoy a Grand Canal Boat Cruise in the afternoon. The Grand Canal is the oldest and longest man-made canal in China.

Day 9 Suzhou-Hangzhou

Shanghai Museum, School visit, On-campus student activities

After breakfast, visit famous Shanghai Museum. Its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy is specially celebrated in the world. Later on, visit a local school in Shanghai and meet with Chinese teachers and students. Student activities will be arranged together with Chinese students and teachers.
