Reservation
Please submit us a completed reservation form online. You may also submit your completed written reservation form by fax or mail. Reservation by phone is not accepted.

Deposit
Upon confirmation of your tour, a deposit of $300 per person is required within seven business days. We accept cheques and cash only. All cheques should be made payable to Tianjiao International Education Group. Returned cheques will charge $30 fee.

Final Payment
Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. If full payment is not received at this time, we reserve the right to regard your reservation as cancelled.

Late Reservation
A full payment is due immediately upon your tour confirmation if the reservation is made 90 days or less before departure.

Changing Reservation
All changes will be considered as cancellation. Cancellation penalty will apply accordingly based on the cancellation penalty policy listed below.

Travel Documents
You are responsible to ensure that the all information is correct. Such as name, due to newly introduced security measures, and name change including minor spelling corrections may require airline reservations to be cancelled and rebooked. Reservations are subject to availability at the time of rebooking. Once full payment is received, airline tickets will be issued. Subsequent name corrections will be subject to an airline rebooking fee of up to $250 per ticket plus a Tianjiao $50 revision fee per change. Tianjiao will not be held responsible for the denial of services by carrier due to nay name discrepancy. Name changes must be advised in writing.

Tipping
A tip is an appreciation for the good service of the staff. An $8 tip per day per person for the tour leader is suggested. It will be collected in the pre-trip meeting. The tour leader will tip bell boys.

Cancellation
When a reservation is cancelled, a written cancellation request must be submitted and the following cancellation charges will apply:

More than 90 days before departure

$200

89 days to 61 days before departure

30% of the listed tour fare

60 days to 30 days before departure

70% of the listed tour fare

29 days or less before departure
(Including no-shows or cancellation after the departure date)

100% of the listed tour fare

If the airline tickets have already been issued, additional cancellation penalty by airline will apply no matter when the cancellation request is submitted.

All cancellations must be in writing and will be effective upon receipt by Tianjiao International Education Group. There will be no refund for any reason once the trip has begun; and there will be no refund for unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing or any other charges once the trip begins.

Tour Prices
The tour fares include: Roundtrip international airfare; Cultural exchange activities; 5 – star or 4 – star hotel accommodations in each city and full buffet breakfast daily; Admission fees to all tourist sites and events; All meals are listed in the itinerary; All ground transportation within China (new chartered bus); English speaking tour guides.

Additional Cost
The tour fares do not include: cost of passports and visas, 50% handling Fees , individual travel insurance, personal items such as extra beverages at meals, food or snacks at times other than regular meal times, laundry, telephone, fax or internet/e-mail access charges, film, fee for taking photographs or videos in certain locations, fees for changing money, individual transfers, medical expenses, transportation of heavy baggage in excess of applicable allowance, customs duties, tipping, cost of any medicines or medical care you may require during the trip for any reason, cost of extension tour to different place( this fee must be paid along with the final balance of the tour fare).

Single Room Occupancy
For a single occupancy room, an additional charge of $60/per night will apply. Unless specified, all individual travelers will be placed in a double occupancy room with another group member. There is no discount for triple occupancy.

Child Tour Fare
20% discount off the adult tour fare is applicable to children of 11 years of age or under (before the last day of the participated tour itinerary) who share a room with two adults without an extra bed.

Land Only Prices
We are pleased to offer land packages for those who would like to purchase the international air tickets by themselves. Please also make sure that the arrival dates in China match those of the brochure itineraries.

Land only prices do not include: Roundtrip international flight, arrival airport transfer on Day 2, departure airport transfer on last day.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend the purchase of a trip cancellation, accident and baggage insurance policy form Travel Insurance Service. This form of coverage will protect you against unexpected events that could cause you to cancel or interrupt your trip. Also, this affordable and comprehensive travel protection program provides coverage for unexpected delays, medical assistance, baggage and baggage delay, evacuation, and most importantly preexisting conditions. You may obtain such coverage on your own, or you may contact us for details on obtaining coverage. (Detailed information can be found on our website: www.canadatj.com )

Passports & Visas
All tour members need a visa to enter China. A passport valid for six months after departure date from Canada is required. You will need to obtain an individual visa from a Chinese consulate. Please contact us for details. (Detailed information can be found on our website: www.canadatj.com )

Airport Transfers
Airport arrival or departure transfer is not included for those who arrive earlier or stay behind, or make their own international flight arrangement.

Shopping
Time for shopping will be arranged during your tour at various sites for your convenience. Tianjiao International Education Group does not take any responsibility for any damages, payments, shipping or other problems of your purchased. It is each passenger’s responsibility to contact stores directly.

Immunizations
No immunizations are required for entry into China, unless the traveler is coming from a yellow fever infected area (South America and Africa). The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) in Vancouver recommends that all travelers have current polio and tetanus immunizations. For traveling in to the countryside, immune (gamma) globulin is also recommended to combat hepatitis A, as is typhoid immunization.

Medical Facilities
Medical facilities for foreigners are available in major cities. We recommend you bring an ample supply of any medication that you are currently taking since it might not be available or not easy to get in China.

Responsibility
Tianjiao International Education Group acts as agent. The suppliers providing tickets, transportation, conveyance or accommodations are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Tianjiao. All receipts issued by Tianjiao and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodations are made by Tianjiao as agent of the suppliers. By utilizing the services of suppliers, you agree that neither Tianjiao nor any subsidiary or affiliate of Tianjiao shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay incurred upon you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or condition beyond the control of Tianjiao, including defects in vehicles or breakdown in equipment, Nor shall Tianjiao be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delays, cancellations or changes in flight, itineraries, schedules, steamers or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or other causes. All tour itineraries and fares may be affected by alterations or delays in air or surface transportation service. Tianjiao reserves the right to withdraw any tour in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as may be found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operations of the tour. Tianjiao reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any time. Due to the change of air fare, hotel rates, and the foreign exchange rate, Tianjiao reserves the right to change the tour fare at its discretion without prior notice.

Payment of a deposit represents acceptance by the tour member of the Terms & Conditions listed herein. By utilizing the services of Tianjiao, you agree that the exclusive venue for all claims, actions or proceedings against Tianjiao of whatsoever nature arising out of this contract shall be the Province of British Columbia and such claim, actions or proceedings shall be determined according to the laws within the jurisdiction of the Province of British Columbia.

Release of Liability
I certify that the information given is correct and that the applicant is physically, mentally and emotionally fit to join this cultural exchange program. I agree to Tianjiao’s company policy that in case of accident, sickness or undisclosed condition of myself or my child during the start, duration and end of the trip. Applicants or Parents, guardians are responsible for the expenses incurred. I give permission for photographs and my comments of the trip to be used in future company promotional material.

I give permission to the company directors, health workers, nurse, doctors or any other medical emergency health worker to take emergency measures deemed necessary to maintain my child’s health while in China. I recognize that there is some element of risk involved with traveling, sports or any sight seeing activity associated with the program here presented. Accidents can result of the nature of the activities outlined in the cultural exchange program and can occur with or without fault on either the part of the student, Tianjiao, or its employees or agents, or the facilities / transport vehicle where the activities are taking place. By allowing your son / daughter to participate in these activities / cultural exchange program, you are accepting the risk of an accident occurring, and agree that the activities, as described in the cultural exchange program itinerary, are suitable for your child. On behalf of myself and of my child, I release Tianjiao International and their respective officers. Employees, volunteers and agents for claims for injuries or property loss arising from my child’s attendance and participation in the activities of this cultural exchange program; and further I agree to indemnify the said board of management and hold them harmless from any such claim. I have read this “General Terms & Conditions” and “Details & Cost” of this trip and agreed with the policies listed.
