One of the most fulfilling parts of travel is telling people about what you found. And that's what we'd like you to do. Our True Stories section is for your finds.Maybe it's a great hotel, or a terrific restaurant, or a quirky shop. Maybe it's just a good story, a funny anecdote the likes of which only seem to happen when you travel. Maybe it's a photograph. Maybe it's a poem, although I kind of hope not.
What were some of your best and worst travel experiences?
What tips do you have for other travelers to make their journey more pleasant? Share with us your thoughts, comments, and suggestions. |

There are so many images that I am taking home with me. This tour far exceeded all my expectations. I loved it, and highly recommend it to educators who want a truly in-depth experience. Thank you!

Superlatives only can describe this event! Let us repeat and enlarge on this beginning. Suggestion is more time in face to face contact with our Chinese principals.

My husband and I went to Beijing with the Tianjiao Education Group this summer and are pleased to recommend this tour to others who are interested in learning more about the culture and lives of the people who live in this interesting city. The accommodations and food were excellent, the guides knowledgeable and the tours fascinating. While we were thrilled to see the Forbidden City and climb the Great Wall, it was also the chance to talk to locals-whether it was the family who owned a house in the Hutong area or other educators at the Opening Ceremony¡ªthat will stay with us. Thank you to James Zhan and his staff for providing so many rich opportunities for Canadian educators to learn both a bit about China¡¯s long history and how people are living today. We hope more educators will take advantage of this opportunity.

I've never felt so strange, yet so at home in a country before, as I did in China. I would love to go back to Beijiing sometime. Thanks for sharing it with us.

So here I sit, ready for the workday at my desk sipping lychi black and rosebud tea from my lovely cup that I bought at the Kungfu show.... lots of great memories! Thanks!
Thanks again for all you showed us. We're already talking about the "next time we go to China!" Hope all is well with you!

I can't thank you enough for the experience that both Rebecca and I had while we were under your guidance. It was an incredibly eye-opening introduction to a beautiful country and such warm and accommodating people. I would love to return again soon and hopefully visit with Liang in Shanxi (I hope I spelled that correctly). Liang's contribution to my experience in China added an element of authenticity that is very much appreciated and will not be forgotten.

I'm sorry it took me so long to write you and thank you for the wonderful tour of Beijing! Both Sam and I talk of our trip daily and practice our Mandarin on anybody Chinese that we see. The people at our favorite Chinese Restaurant were quite impressed when we counted to 10 for them!
Just be sure that many of us enjoyed every minute and realize and appreciate the effort that you put into showing us your home country.

Thank you for making China real to me. So many misconceptions have been clarified. You have truly made a difference to me and to my learning. I look forward to continuing to learn about China, its people, its long history and its education. I am humbled to be part of this experience and look forward to future partnerships with China and its educators.

Hello James,
Our trip was the very best.
We've traveled to Asia before but this was a very exceptional experience for both Doug and I.
James, it's all about the people. Your staffs are very informed, diplomatic, respectful, kind and considerate, humorous, and most important, safe and reliable. I'm sure you are proud.
